Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am a Therapeutic Massage Therapist & Yoga Teacher with a passion for helping my client's navigate their wellness journey through manual techniques, movement, & breath.
In my practice of Massage & Bodywork, I strive to offer the very best to my clients by way of exploring various modalities & staying up-to-date on the latest research in my field. 7 years of practice so far have shown me that the marriage of deep relaxation techniques to calm the nervous system paired with the deeper tissue work often needed to shift patterns of tension is the "sweet spot" when it comes to improving acute or chronic pain & mobility. In this way, my style is not only Therapeutic but also fluid & relaxing.
My continued education has been built on the idea of developing an all-encompassing approach to treating the whole body with the intention of creating long-lasting positive change. This can involve guided breathing, foundational techniques used in Thai Massage, assisted stretching & the intuitive tools of Cranial Sacral Therapy to help guide our session. My approach calls upon the tools that your body may be asking for in any given session. In this way, each session is truly unique to you.
The latest path I'm excited & proud to combine with the work I do as a Massage & Bodyworker is Somatic Yoga! I am currently a 200 hr. graduate working on obtaining my 500 hr. certification set for 2023. I am thrilled to be able to help bolster my client's self-supported wellness by offering classes & one-on-one therapeutic sessions using the concepts & scientifically-backed tools of various Yoga techniques such as posture & movement (asana) & breath (Pranayama). Private sessions will take into account a client's areas of tension or discomfort & we will build a small series of movements & stretches to help shift those patterns.
When I’m not working in-studio, I often perform massage & bodywork at various sports events around the region including marathons, triathlons, cycling, and rock climbing. I’ve had the privilege of working with & alongside some incredibly inspiring human beings including athletes, coaches, trainers, and doctors. Most notably, you can find me offering pre & post-race massage at the annual Iron Man Louisville (one of my favorite events of the year!).
